Enabling Discovery,Empowering Researchers

Edusa PRO-r is an essential instrumentation for researchers studying sensorimotor control, motor learning or ergonomics.

Edusa PRO-r is a cutting-edge robotic device that allows functional and complex movements of hand, wrist and forearm. Edusa PRO-r covers all the three degrees of freedom of the wrist joint in its entire range of motion unlocking new possibilities for scientific exploration.

Edusa PRO-r is designed for research purposes and can be used to investigate motor control and ergonomics in different conditions with variable force fields and assistance levels. Edusa PRO-r is powered with ReWing AI sophisticated software able to offer the most appropriate and challenging excercises for each user.

Four modalities

01

Active

The robot operates without exerting any forces on the user, it only compensates the weight and intertia allowing individuals to freely move in an active way.

02

Passive

The device assists the user when he/she cannot complete the movement independently. The assistance level is automatically adapted to the user’s needs thanks to ReWing AI.

03

Assistive

The device assists the user when he/she cannot complete the movement independently. The assistance level is automatically adapted to the user’s needs thanks to ReWing AI.

04

Resistive

Exercises against programmed resistance or disturbances. By providing resistance, the robot challenges the user, creating opportunities for strength training or fatigue studies.

Why Edusa PRO-R

Advanced performance robot

Thanks to the sophisticated mechanics and software control algorithm that allow for flawless weight and inertia compensation, Edusa PRO-r is fully back-drivable. Its movements are fluid and transparent and faithfully follow those of the user, in all the three degrees of freedom of the wrist and in the entire wrist human range of motion.

Customizable software

Edusa PRO-r software offers a wide variety of exercises with peculiar different features but all powered by AI algorithms. New exciting exercises or virtual reality scenarios can be created to meet the user’s needs.

Precise measurements

Edusa PRO-r is equipped with high resolution encoders, an innovative grip sensor and a linear encoder on the handle to exactly compute all the forces and movements performed by the user. All these data combined together allows for a comprensive assessment of movement strategy or fine sensorimotor functions.

Standing or sitting use

The adjustable height support allows for postural research or dual task (e.g. reaching while standing).

ReWing custom development service

ReWing provides its know-how and expertise to craft research protocols that are tailor-made to suit your project’s scope and objectives.

Intuitive GUI

The user can create personalized protocols through simple drag-and-drop of desired exercises and fine-tune parameters for a fully customized research experience.
